Me & My "Mini"

Hi, I’m Jen (and that’s my son, Dakota). I was born in Westbrook, Maine, grew up in New Canaan, CT, and now call Naples, FL home.

Some of my earliest and fondest memories are rooted in my grandparents’ and great-grandmother’s gardens in Maine—harvesting vegetables in the morning and eating them fresh that night, savoring dried apple slices strung up for weeks, or opening jars of applesauce and green beans from the year’s harvest. I grew up with a love of food, a deep appreciation for where it comes from, and a profound respect for nature and all she provides.

In college, I worked at a holistic health center under the guidance of a renowned master herbalist. That’s where my passion for natural health and the idea of “food as medicine” was born. Wanting to use this knowledge to help others, I earned my Master’s in Human Nutrition from Columbia University, and later followed my love of food to culinary school at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in New York City.

Soon after graduate school, I had my son, Dakota. He has been my greatest gift, my most humbling teacher, and my proudest achievement. Becoming a mother shifted my perspective—it wasn’t only about nourishing his body with wholesome food, but also about creating a clean, healthy home environment where he could thrive.

Over the years, my career has taken many turns—nutrition counseling, private chef work, recipe development for a national restaurant group, and then two vegan fast-casual food chains. Today, I’ve brought my journey full circle as a real estate advisor in Naples, where I help people create homes that truly nourish their lifestyle. Throughout it all, I’ve continued to write and share about healing foods, functional nutrition, kitchen herbalism, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.

My purpose has always been the same: to inspire others to live in harmony with their health, their homes, and the natural world. I hope you’ll join me on this journey—and maybe be inspired to create your own version of a WellHome for you and your family.

xo,
