I first stopped by Sunset + Pine on a whim while Christmas shopping this past winter. Located at Galleria Shoppes at Vanderbilt, the storefront is unassuming, sitting next to True Fashionistas. Up entering, I was greeted by a warm, airy & bright boutique with the most adorable children’s clothes, toys and gifts. Not only are the products cute and trendy, but all brands and designers are vetted by owner, Kirsten Maas, to align with her mission of promoting conscious consumerism and sustainability in the apparel industry.

Take a step back in time at Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers. Arguably, these two renowned inventors put Fort Myers on the map and their historical winter sanctuary has been preserved for locals and tourists to admire. The 20-acre estate includes many buildings, gardens, and Edison’s Botanical Laboratory. This weekend, February 10-11, you can enjoy their Annual Spring Garden Festival. Admission is free for the festival. Estate tours not included.

Dare I say, Downtown Coffee & Wine Bar helped put the historic Downtown Bonita Springs back on the map, and has become a staple in the community. They serve up craft coffee and tea beverages along with scrumptious small plates. My faves are their Matcha Latte, Hummus Plate, and Smoked Salmon Bagel. They also have a rotating wine selection.

Dubbed “The Organic General Store”, Food & Thought is a one-of-a-kind grocer offering organic produce & food products, herbal supplements and a juice bar. The original location sits on Tamiami Trail N alongside their sustainable clothing store. And their newest location, Food & Thoughts 2, on Airport Pulling, comes along with their full-service restaurant.

What started as a passion project for owner, Danielle, has blossomed into a unique business in Bonita Springs. Hidden Gem Boutique offers a carefully curated collection of vintage and bohemian furniture and decor. And most items are sourced locally, in and around south Florida! The store has limited hours, but you can also shop online.

Cleverly positioned in an unused parking lot next to The Bowl, on Central Ave, The Kitchen & The Mini Bar is Naples newest hangout spot. It offers a fun, fresh, casual outdoor environment with creative cocktails and delicious food (the Spiraling Spud is a must!). Don’t let the name fool you - there is a full-size bar, surrounded by TV’s for the sports enthusiasts, as well as yard games for the kiddos (big and little).
