With Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts on every corner, finding a great craft coffee shop can feel like a treasure hunt. Here are some of the local faves:

Dare I say, Downtown Coffee & Wine Bar helped put the historic Downtown Bonita Springs back on the map, and has become a staple in the community. They serve up craft coffee and tea beverages along with scrumptious small plates. My faves are their Matcha Latte, Hummus Plate, and Smoked Salmon Bagel. They also have a rotating wine selection.

Dubbed “The Organic General Store”, Food & Thought is a one-of-a-kind grocer offering organic produce & food products, herbal supplements and a juice bar. The original location sits on Tamiami Trail N alongside their sustainable clothing store. And their newest location, Food & Thoughts 2, on Airport Pulling, comes along with their full-service restaurant.

Cleverly positioned in an unused parking lot next to The Bowl, on Central Ave, The Kitchen & The Mini Bar is Naples newest hangout spot. It offers a fun, fresh, casual outdoor environment with creative cocktails and delicious food (the Spiraling Spud is a must!). Don’t let the name fool you - there is a full-size bar, surrounded by TV’s for the sports enthusiasts, as well as yard games for the kiddos (big and little).

Stepping out of The French and Bar Tulia, Chef & Partner Kayla Pfeiffer has taken over the space formerly operated by Fit n Fuel Cafe with her new culinary concept, Bicyclette Cookshop. The menu offers a fun, fresh, & ecclectic spin on traditional fare.

A tasty new business has sprouted in Naples. Stropharia Mushroom Farm grows a variety of organic gourmet mushrooms, and also sells medicinal mushroom extracts. You can find their high quality products at the Pine Ridge farmers market, or at their storefront on Jaeger Rd.

The latest addition to join the burgeoning historic Downtown Bonita Springs is Rooftop at Riverside, Bonita’s very own food truck park with rooftop bar, slated to open in the first quarter of 2024.

Food truck parks are taking over. And I’m here for it. The latest addition to the scene is Backyard Social, tucked away off of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway in Fort Myers. Offering a variety of food trucks, large covered bar area, and an Instagram worthy atmosphere, it’s sure to be a new hot spot.
